Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) achieved a power saving of 1,000 megawatts (MW) in 2016, equivalent to AED 2.6 billion, according to a statement.
“We expect a higher number of users in the coming period of our services as part of the global drive towards using district cooling technologies instead of conventional ones,” Empower CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar said.
Contributing to the reduction of conventional energy usage serves the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 that aims to ensure a sustainable future, Bin Shafar added.
