UAE - Mubasher: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has launched a new system to enhance the capability of its Command Control Centre (CCC) for district cooling plants.
Named ‘Parallel Working environment (PWE)’, the new system will have an alternate remote operation of the plants, operating as a redundant system of Empower’s CCC, according to a company statement released on Tuesday.
“We are always keen on satisfying customers through developing state-of-the-art techniques in districts cooling, which enable cooling plants to work sustainably and without any interruption,” Empower’s CEO Ahmad bin Shaafar said.
Equipped cutting-edge technologies, PWE will provide all of command control centre’s facilities in a self-governing way.
“Empower uses innovative solutions to provide consistent cooling services to the customers that contribute to sustainability, by balancing between economic development and environmental conservation,” bin Shaafar commented.
With an operating capacity of 1.43 million refrigeration tonnes, Empower provides district cooling services to over 1,090 buildings, servicing 100,000 customers.
