Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) announced that 260 buildings will be provided with district cooling services in the Business Bay upon completion of its project.
At the end of 2018, Empower, the world's largest district cooling services provider, has supplied 62% of Business Bay area with district cooling services, according to a statement.
With a total cooling capacity of 350,000 tonnes from six cooling plants, the world’s largest district cooling project is projected to be finalised within the next four years with huge urban growth in the region.
“Empower continues its efforts to develop its infrastructure and strengthen its base of more than 100,000 customers across Dubai,” Empower’s CEO, Ahmad Bin Shafar, said.
The cooling stations will be connected to the Command Control Centre situated at the head office, along with using advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, he added.
