Energy, banks stocks lead ADX to green Monday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Monday, spurred by the rise of energy and banks stocks.

The main index went up 0.05% or 2.27 points to reach 4,494.90 points.

The energy sector gained 6.73% due to a rise in Dana Gas and TAQA by 8.06% and 1.64%, respectively.

The banks sector rose 0.15% after Sharjah Islamic Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) grew 2.27% and 0.47%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 97.9 million shares on Monday, compared to 63.7 million shares on Sunday. Turnover amounted to AED 158.3 million, compared to AED 74.29 million.

Dana was the most active stock after trading 50.1 million shares, while FAB was the value leader with a turnover of AED 57.7 million.
