Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 0.04% or 1.73 points to close at 4932.87 points on Monday, buoyed by the energy and real estate sectors.
The energy sector rose 0.67% after the stocks of ADNOC Distribution and TAQA upped 2.25% and 0.91%, respectively.
The real estate sector gained 0.68% after Eshraq Properties rose 5.18%.
The ADX’s market capitalisation added AED 109 million to AED 489.597 billion, compared to AED 489.488 billion on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the industrial sector surged 5.14% after Galfar Engineering and Contracting’s stock posted a 10% increase.
The ADX’s trading volume amounted to 123.674 million shares, exchanged at a total value of AED 212.210 million through 1397 transactions.
On the other hand, the telecommunications sector and its only stock, Etisalat, fell 0.36% each.
The banks sector was down 0.15% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) plummeted 1.29%
The insurance sector dipped 1.27% as Abu Dhabi Insurance fell 6.67%, making it the ADX’s top loser.
Dana Gas was the most active on Monday stock after 55.2 million shares were exchange at a turnover of AED 63.37 million through 66 transactions.
