Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Thursday, spurred by the rise of energy and real estate stocks.
The general index grew 0.58% or 26.52 points to reach 4,608.28 points.
Trading volume reached 89.57 million shares on Thursday, compared to 36.27 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 281.94 million, compared to AED 113.78 million.
The energy sector rose 4.95% as TAQA and Dana Gas gained 12.50% and 2.33%, respectively.
The real estate sector added 0.88% due to an increase in Aldar Properties by 1.33%.
The telecom sector grew 0.85% as Etisalat went up 0.85%.
The banks sector levelled up 0.29% due to a rise in First Abu Dhabi Bank, trading under the ticker of NBAD, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 0.45% and 0.27%, respectively.
First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader with a turnover of AED 126.03 million, while Dana Gas was the most active stock after trading 19.25 million shares.
