Energy, real estate stocks push up ADX Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index edged up 3.59 points, or 0.08%, to close at 4,585.21 points on Tuesday, pushed up slightly by the energy and real estate sectors.

The bourse’s trading volume dropped to 60.53 million shares from 160.9 million on Monday, while the market’s liquidity tumbled to AED 109.13 million, compared to AED 183.25 million in the previous session.

The energy sector gained 0.59% after Dana Gas surged 2.08%, while the real estate sector increased by 0.38%, as Aldar Properties added 0.48%.

The banks sector went up about 0.26% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) grew 0.43%.

Meanwhile, the investment sector plunged 7.3%, as Waha Capital dropped 7.83%.

Dana Gas topped the market in terms of both volume and liquidity, with 23.48 million traded shares and a turnover of AED 23.159 million.
