Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi energy sector accounts for 45% of the Kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP), said Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid Al-Falih.
Petro Rabigh2 project will start its operations in the first quarter of 2018, Al-Falih added.
The minister highlighted that the joint venture (JV) between the Saudi Arabian Oil Co, known globally as Saudi Aramco and the Japanese firm, Sumitomo Chemical will produce 5 million tonnes of petrochemicals and 15 tonnes of oil productions per year.
