Enoc completes 20% of Al Maktoum Airport's jet fuel pipeline

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) on Wednesday announced plans to complete its 16.2 km jet fuel pipeline to Al Maktoum International Airport by first quarter of 2022.

The project, whose construction works are already in progress, is aimed at enabling the Duba-based Al Maktoum Airport to meet its fuel needs, expand its existing facility and improve its aviation services, the company said in a statement.

It added that 20% of the project’s construction works have been completed and is racing against time to have it ready for the Dubai International Expo 2022.

“The jet fuel pipeline connecting to Al Maktoum International Airport is one project that reiterates our commitment to elevate our country’s key infrastructure,” ENOC group’s CEO Saif Humaid Al Falasi commented.

“When completed, the pipeline will support the air traffic of more than 20 million tourists expected to visit Expo 2020 Dubai,” he further added.
