Established firms decline 17% in week – Ministry

Cairo – Mubasher: The number of companies founded during the week ended on 6 April shrank by 17% to total 267 new firms when compared to 322 in the previous week, according to latest data issued by the investment and international cooperation ministry.

The daily average of establishing new companies reached 53 firms, with a total issued capital of EGP 148.5 million.

The 267 new companies will offer 1,331 job opportunities, of which 539 vacancies are vocational, the ministry said.

The Egyptian capital pumped into these new firms stood at EGP 124.6 million, while the Arab and foreign capital amounted to EGP 19.6 million and EGP 4.2 million, respectively.
