Mubasher: Bahrain’s transport minister said that the initial feasibility study for the railways and King Hamad Causeway project was finished, in coordination with the Saudi party, Bahrain News Agency reported.
Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed added that the estimated cost of the project amounts to $4 billion.
The project will be financed through the private sector through the build–operate–transfer (BOT) scheme, the minister stated.
The agency mentioned that the project involves establishing two railway routes for passenger and freight transportation which will connect the Kingdom to Bahrain, in addition to setting up four vehicle routes on King Hamad Causeway.
