Cairo – Mubasher: Ethiopia’s minister of water and irrigation announced that the filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has started, according to Sky News.
This annoucement came as the latest round of African Union-sponsored talks between Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia ended without reaching an agreement over filing the 74 billion cubic-metre reservoir.
On Monday, the Ethipoian foreign minister denied news reports that the country began filing the dam, Ahram reported.
