UAE - Mubasher: Etihad Airways has extended the salary cuts for its employees to the end of 2020 due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) repercussions on the aviation industry, Reuters reported.
The airline has decided to reduce employees' salaries by 10% from September until the end of December, compared to an earlier deduction of between 25% and 50% which ended last month, the spokesperson announced.
It is noteworthy to mention that in late August, Emirates Airline and Etihad Airways have requested their cabin crew to take voluntary unpaid leave, as the companies are trying to reduce their costs to mitigate the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
