Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: National rail developer Etihad Rail announced Wednesday that it had suspended phase two of the project’s tendering, according to WAM.
The company informed all bidders in writing, confirming that this decision will not negatively affect the first phase.
Phase two plan is drawn to connect UAE with KSA through Ghweifat, with Oman at the east of Al-Ain, and with vital branches serving Mussaffah, Khalifa Port and Jebel Ali Port.
This postponement of the company’s plan is to examine the most appropriate options for timing and delivery of the second phase. The project as one of the largest infrastructure project ever undertaken in UAE, said the company.
