Dubai – Mubasher: Etihad Airways on Wednesday announced that one of its planes made an emergency landing in the Kuwait International Airport.
The Abu Dhabi-based airline revealed that the pilot for the EY927 flight travelling from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam died during the flight.
The plane was redirected to Kuwait International Airport after the pilot was incapacitated.
At 7:00 am Kuwait, the director general of Civil Aviation in Kuwait received a communication from a plane flying over the country saying that the pilot had become incapacitated, according to an official statement.
The incident was handled under the applied safety and emergency procedures. The plane landed safely and no one was injured during the flight.
