Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Etisalat Group said that the coverage of its 4G network exceeded 92% of the populated area in UAE, thus leading to an increase in the customer base of mobile phone internet users to reach 3.8 million.
On the sidelines of celebrations held for the UAE's 44th National Day, the telecom operator said its market share grow 7% in the third quarter of 2015 to reach 11.6 million subscribers.
Etisalat pumped AED 2.5 billion worth of investments to develop its network in UAE, while its total spending on infrastructure operation reached AED 25 billion.
Fiber optic network covers 90% of the UAE; the highest percentage of connecting homes with fibers in the world.
