Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Emirates Telecommunications Group Company (Etisalat Group) announced the expiry of its agreement with Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) on 23 December.
Both parties agreed on the non-renewal with the current conditions, according to a bourse filing on Sunday.
Etisalat Group noted that the two companies are currently working on developing a service and technical support agreement, which will take into consideration Mobily requirements for the coming period given the scale of operation and the customer base.
The company added that upon finalising the agreement, it will announce the details, along with any material financial impact that might arise.
On 23 December, 2011, the two companies have renewed the agreement for five years.
The UAE company owns 27.4% in the Saudi company Mobily.
