Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) opened Monday’s trading session on a positive note, backed by its telecom stock Etisalat.
By 10:05 am UAE time, the general index grew 0.19% or 8.54 points to 4,601.83 points, in line with analysts’ expectations.
The telecom sector and its stock Etisalat gained 0.85%, leading rising sectors.
On the other hand, the energy sector led losers, falling 1.7%, after Dana Gas shed 2.3%
In the meantime, turnover reached AED 3.58 million after 4.18 million shares were traded through 40 transactions.
Earlier on Monday, analysts told Mubasher that they expected UAE bourses to see some support from Emaar Properties’ announcement of positive results in the first quarter of 2017, particularly after the negative rebound seen on both markets after the Arabtec dilemma.
