The general index fell 0.16% or 10.4 points to reach 4,489.51 points by 10:40am UAE time.
The market saw trading of 44.76 million shares through 484 transactions, with turnover of AED 67.94 million.
Etisalat declined 1.1% to AED 17.9, while First Gulf Bank (FGB) added 1.5% to AED 13.20.
