Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the green on Monday for the second session in a row, backed by blue-chip stocks Etisalat, First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Aldar Properties.
The general index gained the most in five sessions after rising 1.77% or 75.72 points to reach 4,351.41 points, the highest level since last October.
Etisalat added 2.63% to AED 17.55, helping the telecom sector to become the best performer.
FGB increased 3.24% to AED 12.75, and Aldar levelled up 2.04% to AED 2.5.
Eshraq Properties topped risers after jumping 5.5% to AED 0.77.
Etisalat was the value leader after generating AED 103.26 million, representing 23% of the market’s total liquidity.
Turnover amounted to AED 450.5 million ($122.65 million) on Monday, compared to AED 227.34 million ($62 million) on Sunday. Trading volume reached 348.87 million shares, compared to 168.89 million shares.
