Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance for the third successive session on Thursday.
The general index increased 0.06% or 2.6 points to reach 4,576.73 points.
The telecom sector went up 1.02% as Etisalat grew 1.02%.
The market maintained its uptrend with a slight rise, spurred by the increase of positions in blue chips by speculators, in addition to higher oil prices, according to technical analyst Ahmed Al-Zahouri.
The main index is continuing its rise towards 4,600 points amid anticipations of second-quarter financial results, Al-Zahouri noted.
Trading volume reached 55.94 million shares on Thursday, compared to 87.37 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 154.74 million, compared to AED 237.9 million.
