Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Etisalat Digital, a business unit of Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat), has announced a partnership with Microsoft to provide government entities, large enterprises, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UAE with digital solutions.
Etisalat Digital will provide end-to-end solutions in the GCC country based on Microsoft’s intelligent and trusted cloud, according to a company statement released on Wednesday.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft perfectly fits our existing capabilities and positions Etisalat Digital as the digital enabler on the Microsoft local cloud, empowering our customers to move faster to the cloud, increase agility, accelerate innovation with enhanced service latency and performance,” Etisalat’s group chief business officer, Salvador Anglada, said.
In June, US multinational telecom company Microsoft launched two new cloud regions in the UAE, which provide organisations, enterprises, and developers with access to scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud services, ensuring local data residency and security.
Microsoft Gulf’s regional general manager, Sayed Hashish, commented: “Etisalat Digital’s breadth of expertise within the IT ecosystem, in concert with the Microsoft intelligent cloud, is a perfect combination to provide an end-to-end digital solution to our mutual customers, empowering them to achieve more.”
