Mubasher: The euro exchange rate fell on Monday against most global currencies, as investor confidence in the Eurozone declined in January below forecasts.
The sentix Economic Index for the Eurozone significantly fell in January 2016. The headline index slid 6.1 points down to +9.6 points, compared to estimates of 12.2 points and against 15.7 points in the previous month, according to Sentix GmbH.
The euro fell against the U.S. dollar by 0.37% to reach 1.08886 per dollar. It also moved down against the sterling pound by 0.63% to 0.7476 per euro.
