Cairo – Mubasher: The European Investment Bank (EIB) has invested EUR 8.7 billion in Egypt, the bank’s vice president Dario Scannapieco revealed.
These investments were directed to more than 95 projects in various sectors, including renewable energy, transport, water, wastewater, as well as small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Scannapieco pointed out in a statement released by the Egyptian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation on Monday.
In addition, the bank also aims to inject investments into the human capital and infrastructure in the North African nation in the coming period, he added during a meeting with the minister of investment Sahar Nasr.
