Britain's FTSE 100 index rose 0.14% or 8.45 points to stand at 6,125.70 points.
Germany’s DAX gained 0.18% or 18.09 points to reach 9,869.95 points.
On the flipside, France’s CAC 40 declined 0.42% or 18.22 points to close at 4,301.24 points.
