U.K.'s FTSE100 fell 0.59%, while German's DAX slid 0.35%.
Meanwhile, France's CAC40 retreated 0.32%, and Spain's IBEX edged down 0.14%.
On the other hand, FTSE MIB Index rose 0.11%, paring a portion of the losses incurred over the last three sessions.
