Eurozone industrial output rises in October

Dubai – Mubasher: Industrial production in the Eurozone rsoe more strongly than expected in October, as it grew by 1.9% year-on-year, against estimates of 1.3%, and compared with 1.3% in the prior-year period, showed data released Monday by Eurostat.

Industrial production also rose 0.6% month-on-month, compared with estimates of 0.3%, and against -0.3% in September.

If sustained, October's return to growth suggests the Eurozone economy will end the year on a stronger footing. Surveys of business activity and confidence also point toward a modest pickup in economic growth during the final quarter, while the unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level since the start of 2012, according to MarketWatch.
