Riyadh – Mubasher: Remittances by expatriates in Saudi Arabia amounted to SAR 12.378 billion ($3.3 billion) in August 2020, a 24.7% hike from SAR 9.920 billion ($2.64 billion) in the year-ago month.
Monthly, remittances tumbled by 18.63% when compared to their level in July at SAR 15.213 billion ($4.05 billion), according to data from the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
Over the first eight months of the year, remittances stood at SAR 97.028 billion ($25.85 billion), compared with SAR 82.809 billion ($22.061 billion) in the prior-year period, posting a 17.17% yearly leap.
