Ezdan boosts QSE at Monday’s open

Doha – Mubasher: The main index of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) edged up 0.04% or 4.27 points to reach 10,065.77 points in Monday’s early trades.

By 10:05 am Qatar time, two sectors rose, led by real estate which grew 0.59% as Ezdan Holding Group went up 0.96%.

The industrials sector inched up 0.04% after Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC), Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding, and Qatari Investors Group increased 1.65%, 0.28%, and 0.17, respectively.

On the flipside, five sectors fell, topped by the consumer goods and services sector with 0.38% as Widam Food Company decreased 1.29% and Qatar Fuel (Woqod) dropped 0.99%.

The transportation sector declined 0.26%, while the banks sector shed 0.11% after Dlala Brokerage and Investment Holding, Qatar National Bank (QNB), and National Leasing Holding (Alijarah) went down 0.79%, 0.36%, and 0.23%, respectively.

Liquidity reached QAR 24.99 million, after 1.92 million shares were traded, through 387 transactions.

Vodafone Qatar’s stock was the most active in terms of traded volume with 711,640 shares exchanged at a value of QAR 6.78 million.
