Ezz Steel logs wider losses in Q1

Cairo – Mubasher: Ezz Steel's consolidated losses for the period ended on 30 March (Q1) deepened by 61% year-over-year to EGP 235.3 million ($26.6 million) from EGP 145.9 million ($16.5 million), according to a bourse filing on Wednesday. 

Meanwhile, its standalone losses cut by 38.6% to EGP 86.8 million in the first quarter, compared with EGP 141.4 million for the year-ago quarter.

Over the fiscal year 2015, Ezz Steel registered EGP 603.3 million losses, down 27.8% year-over-year from EGP 835.6 million.

On Wednesday, the stock quote declined by 0.73% to EGP 8.24 with a turnover of EGP 8.08 million by 10:35am Cairo time.
