Cairo – Mubahser: A total of 2,600 companies have expressed their interest to take part in the initiative launched by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to boost local consumption and production, the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) revealed.
These companies have approved discounts ranging from 20% to 50% on their products, the FEI said in a statement on Tuesday.
In November, the Egyptian cabinet announced the framework of an initiative launched by the Egyptian President to enhance national industry.
Industrial companies participating in the initiative, set to last for 6 months starting from 2020, will provide discounts on their products in various sectors, including engineering industries, leather industries, chemical industries, furniture, ready-made garments, information technology, and building materials, chairman of FEI, Mohamed El-Sewedy, said.
