Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the uptrend it maintained for four successive sessions on Monday, pressured down by First Gulf Bank (FGB).
The main index fell 0.25% or 11.4 points to reach 4,586.05 points.
Trading volume reached 138.75 million shares on Monday, compared to 77.08 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 220.38 million, compared to AED 131.75 million.
The banks sector topped losers after falling 0.836% as FGB went down 1.6%.
On the flipside, the telecom sector rose 0.5% as Etisalat closed higher.
The energy sector increased 0.36% after TAQA went up 1.89%.
The real estate advanced 0.17% due to a rise in Aldar Properties by 0.36%. However, Eshraq Properties slipped 1.27%.
Methaq Takaful Insurance was the best performer with a 15% rise and the value leader after generating AED 48.62 million.
