Faisal Islamic Bank Egypt’s business volume rises 13.3% in January

Cairo – Mubasher: Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt on Wednesday reported a 13.3% year-on-year growth in its business volume during January, recording EGP 95.77 billion from EGP 84.5 billion.

The bank’s total assets rose by 13% to EGP 94.1 billion last month, versus EGP 83.27 billion in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Meanwhile, the Islamic lender’s current accounts and saving schemes increased by 11% at a value of EGP 79.7 billion.

Moreover, the bank’s liquid assets grew by 7.3% last month to reach EGP 5.29 billion.

Faisal Islamic Bank previously posted a standalone profit of EGP 2.519 billion for 2018,versus EGP 1.722 billion a year earlier.
