Cairo – Mubasher: Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt on Sunday has reported a 3.1% year-on-year growth in business volume by the end of April 2018.
The bank’s business volume amounted to EGP 86.4 billion by the end of April 2018, compared to EGP 83.77 billion in the same month a year before, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt total assets rose 3.2% to EGP 85.1 billion during April, from EGP 82.4 billion in the corresponding month a year earlier.
Egypt-based Islamic lender’s current accounts and saving schemes levelled up 3.9%, reaching EGP 73.7 billion, while liquidated assets grew 1.8% to EGP 4.8 billion.
The bank’s profits decreased to EGP 777.9 million by the end of first quarter of 2018, compared to EGP 439.7 million during Q1-17.
