Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Monday’s trading in red as its benchmark MSM 30 index declined by 0.05% or 2.63 points to the level of 5,481.44 points.
Trading volume decreased to 12.56 million shares from 24.72 million shares exchanged on Sunday, turnover also shrank to QAR 4.1 million from QAR 6.73 million.
The financial sector dropped 0.11% due to a fall of 1.56% in Al Izz Islamic Bank, 0.96% in Bank Muscat and 0.71% in Bank Sohar.
The industrial sector declined 0.1% as Al Anwar Ceramics topped losers after falling by 3.16%.
Meanwhile, the services sector rose by 0.18% as Al Suwadi Power led gainers by adding 2.7%.
Oman Chlorine made the highest trading activity with a volume of 4.56 million shares exchanged at OMR 4.56 million.
