Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Thursday’s session on a negative note as its benchmark MSM 30 index declined by 0.3% or 16.64 points to the level of 5,497.05 points.
Trading volume increased to 10.93 million shares from 8.18 million shares exchanged on Wednesday, turnover also rose to OMR 2 million from OMR 1.93 million.
The financial sector dropped 0.67% as Oman and Emirates Investment declined 3.85%, and Al Madina for Finance and Investment slid 3.57%.
However, Muscat Finance topped gainers by adding 4.31% and Bank Nizwa grew by 1.27%. The latter made the biggest trading volume activity of 3.11 million shares and Bank Muscat made the highest liquidity of OMR 450,790.
The services sector also declined 0.11% due to a fall of 1.64% in Oman Investment and Finance.
On the other hand, the industrial sector rose alone by 0.06%.
