Financial committee rejects Kuwait Airways capital hike

Kuwait – Mubasher: The financial committee of the Kuwaiti parliament held a meeting on Monday to discuss withdrawing KWD 600 million from the public reserve to repay the remaining amount of Kuwait Airways’s capital in order to increase the capital, rapporteur of the Economic and Financial Affairs committee, safa Alhashem, said.

The committee has refused to repay the remaining amount, according to an official statement, which added that this issue will not be discuss in the coming meeting of the Financial Affairs committee.

It is noteworthy that Kuwait Airways has a capital standing at KWD 1.2 billion.
