Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) grew 0.13% or 7.41 points to 5,557.36 points at the closing of Wednesday’s trading session.
The financial sector rose 0.38% led by Financial Services with 22.95%, while Oman International Development and Investment (Ominvest) gained 2.75%.
Bank Muscat, up 0.5%, was the most active in the terms of traded volume and value with 2.66 million shares exchange at OMR 1.07 million.
On the flipside, the industry sector tumbled 0.55% as Oman Fisheries and Al Anwar Ceramics fell 2.65% and 1.27%, respectively.
The services sector slipped 0.19% after Renaissance Services and Al Jazeira Services weighed down 1.79% and 1.73%, respectively.
Traded volume dropped to 11.35 million shares on Wednesday against 12 million shares on Tuesday, while traded value reached OMR 2.76 million compared to OMR 2.27 million.
