Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) on Sunday rose 0.32% to 4,962.54 points, winning 15.64 points, as compared to Thursday’s levels.
The financial sector led the rising sectors with a 0.48% rise, as major stocks topped gainers, led by Bank Sohar with a 4.2% rise, achieving OMR 13.36 million, followed by Al Anwar Holding, Muscat Bank, and Al Madina Takaful with an 1.89%, 1.08%, and 1.02% rise, respectively.
The industrial sector increased 0.82%, led by Voltamp Energy with 9.77% - the highest rise on the market.
The services sector was the only loser with a 0.45% drop, in line with the decline of Phoenix Power, Renaissance Services, and Al Jazeira Services by 2.5%, 1.73%, and 1.43%, respectively.
Trading volume increased to 88.53 million shares versus 9.63 million shares, as turnover increased to OMR 15.34 million versus OMR 1.6 million in Thursday’s session.
