First Abu Dhabi Bank unveils new identity

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has launched on Monday its new brand identity including a new logo and slogan.

The new entity resulted from the merger of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB).

Last week, the ordinary general meeting (OGM) of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) approved changing the bank’s name to First Abu Dhabi Bank.

Earlier, the bank’s board had recommended a name change of the Abu Dhabi-listed bank following its merger with First Gulf Bank, and proposed naming the new entity “First Abu Dhabi Bank”.

In a previous statement, NBAD said that the merger will take 18 to 24 months to be completed.

The merger between the two Abu Dhabi banks resulted in creating one of the largest banks in the region with over AED 670 billion ($183 billion) in assets.
