Cairo – Mubasher: The Public Transport Authority (PTA) in Egypt has recently announced that four new Egyptian-manufactured buses will be operating in Cairo on an experimental basis.
The new buses will be fuelled with natural gas in a plan that includes 130 more buses once the trial operation shows success, according to Egypt Independent.
The buses are manufactured by the Egyptian company, Kastour. As announced by head of Egypt’s PTA Rizk Ali on Tuesday.
The ticket for the natural gas-fuelled bus is set at EGP 4, with the trial buses to be running via line 1033 connecting Dawaran Shubra station to the First Settlement in New Cairo, and passing through Abboud, Sawah, Heliopolis, Nasr City, and the Police Academy.
