Riyadh – Mubasher: Rumaih Al-Rumaih, CEO at Saudi Railway Company (SAR), has announced that the first stage of the northern region train will begin operation at the end of February 2017, Arriaydah newspaper reported.
The official, who doubles as the head of the Saudi Transport Authority and the Saudi Railways Organisation, stated that the first stage will include stations in Riyadh, Al Qassim and Al Majmaah.
The Saudi Railway Polytechnic (SRP) institute has already graduated the first batch of train drivers, Al-Rumaih said, noting that Saudisation has reached 97% of that batch, according to the newspaper.
