Five sectors lead Qatari bourse to close in green

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index closed Wednesday in green, backed by five sectors, with a rise of 0.23% or 25 points to 10,827.66 points.

QE Al Rayan Islamic Index ended the session 0.47% higher after reaching 4,077.12 points. The All Shares Index also moved 0.19% up to 2,886.05 points.

Trading volume came to about 4.17 million shares exchanged in 2976 trades, making a trading volume of QAR 179.56 million.

“The main index closed in green after it was positively affected by a rise in most of its sectors,” Ayoub Eshban, financial analyst and economic advisor told Mubasher.

“The support levels ranged today between 10,750 and 10,800 points, while the resistances were 10,850, 10,900 and 10,950 points,” he explained.  

The QSE sectors closed up semi-collectively; headed by the services with 0.93% up, while the transportation led the losers with 0.50% down.

Al Meera Consumer Goods share was the highest at close with a 4.46% increase, while Al Khaleej Takaful Group share topped the losers with a fall of 4.26%.

Qatar Gas Transport Limited owned the best trading volume and value, after 1.12 million shares were traded at QAR 27 million.

The QSE’s main index closed Tuesday with a decline of 0.07% to 10,802.29 points, also amid a fall in most of its sectors.
