Five sectors send QSE down early Sunday

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened Sunday’s trading session in negative territory, dragged by the fall of five sectors.

By 10:00 am Qatar time, the general index inched down 0.14% to 10,314.22 points, losing 14.26 points.

Turnover amounted to QAR 12.5 million after 438,600 shares were traded through 308 transactions.

The real estate sector topped the losers falling 1.02% as Ezdan Holding Group plunged 1.50%, while the industrial sector declined 0.35% as Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding went down 1.10%.

On the other hand, the insurance sector headed the gainers adding 0.46% as Qatar General Insurance and Qatar Insurance rose 2.18% and 0.47%, respectively.

Masraf Al Rayan’s stock, which retreated 0.43%, led the QSE in terms of liquidity with QAR 2.4 million, while Doha Bank’s stock spearheaded the market in terms of trading volume with 108,200 shares.
