Flyadeal to add 50 NEO aircraft to its fleet

Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian airline flyadeal announced that it has ordered up to 30 A320 NEO aircraft, and options for a further 20 A320 NEO family aircraft.

The move comes along with the company’s strategy to increase its fleet in a bid to meet the continuing growth in passenger demand across domestic, regional and international routes, the Saudi budget carrier said in a statement on Sunday.

Flyadeal, which is owned by Saudi flag carrier Saudia, noted that deliveries will start in 2021.

The agreement was for a total of 100 aircraft, and it was signed by Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, director general of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation, and Christian Scherer, Airbus chief commercial officer.

“The additional aircraft are part of the dual brand strategy of the Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation where flyadeal serves the price conscious customer that is seeking Everyday Low Fares,” the statement highlighted.

Accordingly, flyadeal will operate an all-Airbus A320 fleet in the future.
