Dubai – Mubasher: Flydubai has registered the fastest growth rate in terms of seat capacity among European and Middle Eastern carriers during 2018, registering a 67.1% growth.
Meanwhile, Emirates tops carriers in Europe and the Middle East in terms of market share, according to a report released by Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA).
Both UAE-based airlines have unveiled a partnership agreement to provide their travellers with further connectivity and flight options in 2018.
In March, flydubai’s CEO Ghaith Al Ghaith commented on rumours over a potential merger between the Dubai-based company and Emirates, stressing that there were no plans for such consolidation and the two companies would continue to operate separately.
