Dubai – Mubasher: Flydubai said Sunday that it’s currently preparing a hardship payments programme to the families of the victims worth $20,000 per passenger to address their financial needs.
“At present, our priority is to identify and contact the families of those lost in today’s tragic accident and provide immediate support to those affected,” the company said in a statement on its website.
“Flydubai will additionally organise a programme of hardship payments to the families amounting to USD 20,000 per passenger, in accordance with our Conditions of Carriage, with the aim of addressing immediate financial needs,” the statement added.
Flydubai announced on Saturday the crash of Flight "FZ 981" while landing in the city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia, resulting in the death of all 62 people aboard.
The company’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said yesterday that its hard to talk about the reason of the crash of the Boeing 737 passenger jet.
“We are working with the Russian authorities to find out the reasons of the accident.. investigations are underway,” he added.
