Flydubai’s flight delayed on intoxicated pilot

Dubai – Mubasher: Flydubai has delayed a flight from Kathmandu to Dubai for over 10 hours after finding the pilot drunk.

Suspected by a colleague to be under the influence of alcohol, the pilot underwent a test, which indicated above-legal-limit alcohol level in his blood, the UAE-based carrier stated.

"Flydubai has a zero-tolerance policy on flight crew found to be in contravention of the regulations regarding alcohol consumption. In line with these stringent rules, we conduct random tests on our operational staff,” flydubai added.

The airline apologised for the affected passengers, promising to enable them to continue their flight as soon as possible.
