Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Wednesday's trading session in positive territory, encouraged by foreign buying.
By 10:26 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index rose 0.65% to 16,125.89 points.
The EGX70 index increased 0.17% to 820.11 points, while the EGX100 index inched up 0.4% to 2,093 points.
The EGX50 index went up 0.7%, reaching 2,754 points.
Trading volume reached 6.17 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 38.5 million through 756 transactions.
Foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 2.6 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 1.36 million, and EGP 1.24 billion, respectively.
