Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session up on the back of foreign buying.
By 10:19 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index went up 60.72 points, or 0.34%, to 17,656 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.2% to 877.59 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.15% to 2,260 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index grew 0.395 to 3,040 points.
Trading volume stood at around 50.8 million exchanged through 4,600 transactions at a turnover of EGP 226.7 million.
Foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 40.47 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 24.3 million and EGP 16.14 million, respectively.
